Odin/Oden was the norse god of kings,death,war,wisdom,sorcery. Father of the asir gods, ruler of asgard the world of gods from his three great halls he rules over the worlds, the halls where gladsheim, Valaskjálf the one of silver and Valhalla where he greated those who died with honor upon the field of battle, here the valkyries served the Einherjarn mead and food each night. He carries the spear gugnir, made from the wood of yggdrasil, the world tree and smithend by the dwarfs. never shall it miss its target. The two ravens Hugin and Munin ( thought and memory) circles the worlds and reports to him of the doings of humans. He sacreficed his eye for one drink from mimers well, the water that grants wisdom. he hung for nine days and nights upon yggdrasil impaled by his owns pear given no food or mead so he whould know what it was to die. He found the the secrets of the runes and leanred from the dead of the future.

One of Odins manny names was Jólnir meaning " yule figure" god of the norse midvinter fest nammed Yule.
